Rant is a social networking app currently exclusive to iOS that aims to provide a platform promoting freedom of speech to likeminded people who wish to vent their frustrations in the form of uncensored, short written posts.

Rant is created to eliminate the possibility of being judged or unfriended by friends on Facebook.

All users are able to share any post written by any user within the app to their own Facebook and/or Twitter account.

The app allows a user to sign in using their Facebook account or sign up using their email address. Using an email address to sign in gives a user the option to sign into the app anonymously if they desire.

A user will also be able to gain followers on their profile as well as follow other people. Following another user means you are able to keep up to date with their posts and see what/when they post and this information will be displayed in your news feed.

A users profile screen will contain their chosen profile picture, their number of followers, the number of people they are following, the number of rant they have posted as well as the actual rant they have posted.

The app also includes a ranking system where users will earn different icons representing their rank, which will be visible on their profiles depending on the total number of likes they have received on all posts on their profile collectively.

This will hopefully work as an incentive for users to constantly return to the app and create new posts regularly.

The news feed within the app will be divided into three sections:

1. Following - Will display posts only from profiles a user is following
2. Trending - Will display the most popular posts
3. All - Will display all posts in chronological order (newest post first)

Users are also able to interact with each other by liking and commenting on posts.

The app will also include a hash tagging # function that will allow users to hashtag keywords in their posts in order to highlight a subject or topic the post may relate to.
Users will also be able to search for hashtags if they seek to read posts relating to any specific topics.

Rant will be available to download on the App Store in every country.
